Repeat Coursework University of Florida coursework that is repeated is counted in the computation of your UF grade point average as many times as grades for that course are recorded, although credits will be awarded only once. When you earn a C (2.0) or higher in a course, you will not be allowed to repeat that course.
Repeat Course Work Students who entered UF with credit for Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses who then repeat the equivalent course at UF will receive a grade for the UF course and no credit for the prior work. CLAS does not necessarily advise students to take courses elsewhere as grades earned elsewhere will not help improve your UFGPA. In fact, if you’ve been dismissed, take classes elsewhere, and subsequently get readmitted, those outside credits will not even be counted as credit earned towards a UF degree. Therefore, in general, it’s recommended that you use the time away to reflect on your past performance and address any issues so that you are able to have a more positive academic experience if readmitted.
