Can I complete my first-year English course in summer 2022?

This is the only placement link that will be available for continuing students who plan to take their first-year English course in summer or fall 2022. It depends on how many courses you failed during the school year and your state laws. In some states you cannot fail more than two classes to pass. If you fail all your classes then summer school will usually only let you take two classes so you still have too many classes failed.

I understand that campus is slow, but if people are required to be on campus, how can it be that there's no food options available (and the DC/Village Market do not count)! It's been this way all winter break & for these first three weeks of the Spring semester, yet fac/staff were told that we have to be here for students, so why is Chartwells allowed to pull this crap? I'm not asking for a long schedule or anything but something as simple like Subway being open from 10-2 just to provide some options!.

I noticed all the UCs are in person starting next week. Plus SJSU has allowed dorming people to move in and I heard the dining commons is also open. What do you guys think is gonna happen? I hope they give us an answer soon so I can figure out whether to drop some classes since they are seminars that wouldn’t be good online.

Why do students fail to do summer school?

Although this is the goal, most students fail to do so because of a lack of motivation. It really does suck to have to participate in school over your break and most students will resent.

What happens if you behave inappropriately during summer school?

If you behave very inappropriately during a summer school (which is unlikely since Participation is usually conditional on having a general interest in the area in which you want to do research during the summer school) your summer school mentor may refuse to issue a certificate or to write you any reference letters.

Can I go to summer school if I don't believe what I was told?

Yes. Ask your school guidance counselor before making a bad decision. Usually, summer school is a second chance at passing a course or two. If you were recommended for summer school, you were probably told this, but now you are asking because (I suspect) you don’t believe what you were told.
