Adding Courses into Brightspace LMS
All courses offered in Brightspace Learning Environment must be associated with a course template. Once you have set up your new course offering or template, you can begin adding course components to it using the various course tools or by copying course components from another offering or template.

Login to Brightspace and access the course you need content copied to. Go to Course Admin -> Import/Export/Copy Components. Select Copy Components from another Org Unit, and then click on Search for Offering. This will open a window where you will search for the course that contains the material you desire.
To pin your course, click the “Course Search” button located on the top of the homepage, find the course you want to pin and click the pin icon on the right. 1: This is an example of a pinned course, it appears before all unpinned courses in this list and will appear on the Brightspace homepage for easy access.
Activate Your CourseFirst, log into Brightspace and enter the course.In the NavBar, click Course Admin.Under Site Setup, click Course Offering Information.Click the box under Active, then Save.

The Brightspace Package is the standard export for Brightspace LMS, it contains all the necessary resources you need to share your course with another Brightspace site. This method is used most often when used when importing the cartridge in to another Brightspace course.
Please wait 24 hours after registering for a course to appear in Brightspace Learning Environment. Once information is entered into the student information system, Banner, registration information updates every 3 hours in Brightspace. The course may not be active.
Course ActivationHover over the course image on the D2L home page.Select the ellipsis [A].Select Course Offering Information from the dropdown menu [B].Under the section titled "Active," select the checkbox next to "Course is active" [A].Select Save [B].
Login to Brightspace and go into the appropriate course. When in the course, take these steps: select the "Course Admin" link in the upper right-hand corner of the course nav bar. select to sort by either "Category" or "Name" - in this case the sort is by "Name"
In the navbar, click Course Admin. Under Site Setup, click Course Offering Information. Scroll down to the Active heading and select the Course is active checkbox. Click Save.
