We offer training courses in a variety of STEM, business, leadership, and industry-specific subject areas for both degree and non-degree programs. Offerings include short courses and open online classes in more than 15 subject areas leading to continuing education units (CEUs) and course or program completion certificates.
Up to twelve credit hours earned as an undergraduate student may count toward earning a master's degree if the following conditions are satisfied. The student was in residence at Georgia Tech for at least two semesters before registering for the course (s).
The design and wording of certificates must be approved by the Provost and a draft must be submitted with the proposal. A certificate program must comprise at least twelve semester hours in a coherent program, of which at least nine semester hours are upper-division coursework (numbered 3000 or above).
12 credit hoursStudents scheduled for at least 12 credit hours in a semester are classified as full-time students; those scheduled for 6-11 hours are classified as part-time students; and those scheduled for 1-5 hours are classified as less-than-part-time students.

15 weeksThe current Academic Calendar is semester‐based, consisting of 15 weeks of instruction in a standard Fall/Spring semester where one contact hour is equal to 50 minutes of instruction. The amount of class attendance is 750 minutes for each scheduled credit hour in a standard semester.
A student must have earned at least 60 semester credit hours (excluding remedial coursework) at Georgia Tech to graduate with highest honor, with high honor, or with honor.

For graduation with highest honor, the minimum grade-point average (GPA) shall be 3.55. For graduation with high honor, the minimum grade-point average (GPA) shall be 3.35. For graduation with honor, the minimum grade-point average (GPA) shall be 3.15.
Step 1: Your Georgia Tech GPA is calculated by adding up all the grade points you have earned, and dividing by the total amount of credit hours earned.

Students completing both a bachelor’s and master’s in the same discipline at Georgia Tech may use up to six credit hours of graduate-level coursework in the major discipline for both degrees.
Undergraduate Students Taking Graduate Courses. A senior with a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 2.7 may enroll in a graduate course if she/he obtains permission from the school or department offering the course.
To qualify for this option, students must complete the undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete the master’s degree within a two-year period from the award date of the bachelor’s degree.
For a multidisciplinary or other minor, a maximum of 6 semester hours of courses in the student's major field of study may be used to satisfy the course requirements for a minor when their inclusion is justified as essential to meeting the stated educational objectives of the minor.
A minor program of study must have at least 15 credit hours of coursework. A minor program of study must include at least 9 credit hours of courses numbered 3000 or above. Courses used to satisfy Core Areas A through E in a student's major degree program cannot also be used to satisfy the course requirements for a minor.
Undergraduate Minor Guidelines. An undergraduate minor is a defined program of study outside the student's major field. Minors are intended to broaden the student's education by encouraging and officially recognizing knowledge obtained by the student in fields other than their major. Minors are typically offered by Schools which also offer a major.

The minor is conferred at the same time the major degree is conferred. The major degree and minor will be recorded on the student's transcript. The minor will not appear on the student's diploma. Minors will not be conferred retroactively upon students who have graduated.

TechWorks will continue to exist because it does a lot of other things that are not specifically linked to Workday. You will have a link to Workday in TechWorks, however, many of the quick links you currently use in TechWorks to go to a specific application will go away because that process will live in Workday.
Yes, you are able to upload receipts and attach them directly to specific line items in the report. Delegation features allow this process to be allocated to another financial user as long as the correct security settings are in place.
Workday has the ability for us to set up a separate award line and grant for cost share funding source. You will also be able to view this rolled up to the award level.
Reports in Workday are the basis of a lot of the functionality within the system. Therefore, the central project team and campus users will not be allowed to develop reports in production.
If you do not verify your PCard transaction, the transaction will remain in a general ledger account and will not move to your account. The 10 day rule does not apply anymore and if you do not verify, the transaction will not go anywhere. You can verify immediately and there is no lag time.
