Because Barnard students are charged a flat rate of tuition for full-time study, the adding or dropping of individual courses does not change the tuition owed for most students. The Program

Our Pre-Baccalaureate Program which is 6 weeks, is our only credit bearing option offered this summer. Students can enroll in a Barnard course that will have Barnard undergraduate students and taught by Barnard faculty.

Admissions and Enrollment

We accept young women who are current juniors or seniors in high school. We also accept gap year students who graduated from high school in 2020 or 2021 and Barnard first year students who are matriculating in the Fall 2021 semester.

Academics

Online classes meet virtually and synchronously. Online classes are hosted through Canvas, our online classroom platform. This is where you will be able to access course sessions (via Zoom) and view and submit assignments. You will receive training and access to CANVAS and Zoom during your orientation.

Of the ten courses required for the Political Science major, three must be introductory lecture courses at the 1000-level, or selected 3000-level courses, in three of the four subfields.
