The University permits a maximum registration of seven credits during the first five-week and eight-week Summer Sessions; seven credits during the second five-week Summer Session; and four credits during the three-week post Summer Session. No more than fourteen total credits may be taken during the Summer Sessions.

Deadlines are determined by the number of weeks in a term or special summer session; each week equals one day . Examples: For a 6 week term, the drop deadline is the 6th day of the term. For a 5 week term, the drop deadline is the 5th day of the term.

If you’re an undergraduate student enrolled in 12–18 credit hours, be sure to drop and add at the same time—ideally, on the same day. This action, sometimes called “course swapping,” will keep your tuition from changing. You may be charged additional fees if you don’t submit a drop and add together.
If you drop courses after the first week of classes, you’ll be charged a $23.00 late schedule change fee for each course you drop.
If you withdraw after the refund period due to unusual circumstances, you may be able to appeal the fee refund policy.
If you need to drop an audit course, you will need to follow special instructions.
