After logging into Canvas, you can view your current courses. You may also be able to view past and future enrollment courses in Canvas. Note: Some institutions may restrict the option to view or access future enrollment courses before the participation dates and/or restrict the option to access concluded courses after the course has ended.
Changes made to enrollments in the registration system (Banner) will be synchronized to Canvas every 2 hours - so expected at least a 2 hour delay before changes are reflected in Canvas.May 18, 2021
Registered in Last 24 Hours The roster in Canvas are updated daily with the Student Information System (SIS). However, there is a delay for new enrollments to appear in the SIS. If have registered for your course today or yesterday, please wait up to 48 hours for your account to be updated.

Students will not be able to edit or submit assignments, change due dates, upload files, change course settings, or otherwise interact with the course. However, students and instructors will continue to be able to view all content they could access during the term.
For some instructors, the default level of post-term access is acceptable. Other instructors may wish to change the course end date before the term ends in order to ensure the read-only copy of the course fits with how they wish their students to access it post-term.
NOTE: A Learning Management System like Canvas is not an archive. Instructors should not rely on the LMS to keep instructor-created materials or grades from past courses. Instructors should keep their own copies of all materials and grades they wish to preserve.
While instructors cannot change the level of access available after the course concludes, instructors are able to edit the course before the course conclusion date is reached. This guide provides instructors for the following in order to change levels of post-term student access: ---------------.
Instructors cannot unpublish individual assignments, discussions, or quizzes if student work has been submitted. If instructors wish to restrict access to any one of these items, they must hide the entire content area from the course menu. Some items may be accessed from multiple content areas.

Self-enrollment is an open enrollment method that allows students to use a secret URL or code to join a course. This option requires students to have an existing Canvas account—most institutions automatically create Canvas accounts for each student through SIS import.
Self registration is an authentication method through Canvas that allows users without an account to create an account for themselves. If you enable self registration but students do not have a Canvas account, self registration allows them to create their own account to log in to Canvas and join the course.
Open Registration. Open registration allows students to be added to a course, even if the students don't have a Canvas account in your institution. Students will create their account during the course enrollment process. You can enable open registration in your account settings.
