I dunno what’s up with this semester but besties the vibes are RANCID. My classes have never been more fun, I’ve got my dream internship, I’m in really interesting research, I have a decent social life… and yet! I’m somehow feeling burnt out and on the verge of tears nearly every single day.
I have seen lots of potential freshman or new incomers post about how they think moving to Gainesville will be boring since we aren't a big city and there won't be a lot to do. This confuses me since I think that this city has a lot to offer.
I work at the help desk and we’ve had a lot of students call in lately because they missed the Gatorlink email warning them to reset their password before it expires. The link in that email doesn’t work anymore after the password expires so they call us to get it fixed.
Spirituality - Spirituality involves one’s capacity for creativity, growth, and a sense of purpose in life. It can be demonstrated by personal traits such as wisdom, love, transcendence, hope, connectedness, and compassion. Spirituality is inclusive of, but not limited to, institutional religion. Since the World Health Organization deemed spirituality as a component of health equal to mental and physical wellbeing, spirituality has received increasing attention in the academic realm (e.g., wellness paradigms, alternative medicine, prayer and healing, outdoor/wilderness adventure, and counseling).
The final reflection paper is due the last day of class and incorporates any additional information you would like to share with the instructor on the class or what you learned. Questions you might like to include are:
Weekly Reflection and Integration papers are an opportunity to integrate the week’s readings with your own life experiences. You may also include your thoughts on class material, activities and anything in your own life that seems relevant to your unfolding process of spirituality and mindfulness.
i heard they aren’t even getting bathroom breaks on 13+ hour shifts they seriously seem super overwhelmed AND overworked every single time ive gone in to any location on campus this semester… line is out the door they barely have time to breathe let alone pee how is that humane?!
