Primary Audience

The primary audience for this course is local Floodplain Administrators. The course will be made available to the whole community. Some audience members may not have the level of prerequisite knowledge as the Floodplain Administrators.

Resident Courses (E, L, V, K Codes)

EMI provides resident course training to Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT), volunteer, public, and private sector officials to strengthen emergency management core competencies for professional, career-long training.

Independent Study Courses (IS Code)

The Independent Study Program (ISP) is a distance learning program that offers training, free of charge, to the Nation’s emergency management network of Federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments; non-governmental organizations; and the general public.
