Courses are accessible via the Internet using a standard Web browser. Each week the student logs on to Blackboard Learn to access the online course (s) in which they are enrolled. MCC’s online courses are built upon a tradition of more than 20 years of delivering alternative learning.

Any hands-on or applied learning also occurs remotely, with no on-campus activity required. MCC Anytime (Online) - Classes are unscheduled and students log in to a program at any time on their schedule to complete their work.
Study and learn at times that fit into your busy life. Online courses are held during regular quarter starting dates: September, December, March and June.
The online credit courses are equivalent to on-campus courses and maintain the same academic standards. Each course is managed by a qualified Metropolitan Community College instructor who provides information, guides you, prompts discussion, helps with your assignments, answers your questions and grades your work.
The online orientation is intended for currently registered new and continuing students, and should take about 45 minutes to complete. Since your progress is saved, it does not have to be finished in one sitting. If you must stop, you can return to finish it later. You may also return to view information again if you like. We encourage all new and continuing students to maintain regular visits and communications with their Enrollment Navigator or Academic Advisor for additional information and guidance.

At times, the instructor may designate scheduled times to use synchronous course deliveries such as Virtual Chat, where both the instructor and students have the opportunity to create and join a real-time chat session live. And, or course, some activities will have deadlines.
Yes. Your instructor will post office hours when he/she will be available by phone, e-mail, online chat, or in person. Many instructors indicate how frequently they check for messages from students to give you an idea of when to expect a response to e-mailed questions.
