There are 2 Moodle plugins which enables you to allow open access to your Moodle course. These plugins are very similar in nature with minor differences in features. Both of them allows the students to enroll in the course based on the actions they take within the system. The first one is the AutoEnrol plugin.
To check if the class is using Moodle or UMassOnline, go to your course schedule in SPIRE and click the URL icon () next to the class in your course list. There may be up to a one hour delay between when a student registers for a course and when that student can access the Moodle course. Students must have an active IT Account to log in to Moodle.
Downloading content from their online courses also enables learners to browse this content offline, without having to be permanently connected to the internet. Teachers, of course, can also download their own course materials to access outside of Moodle. Start using it right away!
