The game doesn't need an easy mode. Rather it needs an easy class that starts at 25 VIG with a reasonably good weapon. Perhaps a +2 Longsword/etc that any seasoned player could acquire within the first hour of starting by speed-running blacksmiths and titanite scattered about the world. The difficulty of Dark Souls comes from the player's Build.
Dark Souls Remastered: How To Become Overpowered Early
Endurance is an Attribute in Dark Souls 2. Endurance determines your character's Health and Item Burden. Attributes can be increased by assigning points into them when Leveling Up. An attribute that determines your overall Stamina.
With new canon-friendly classes, new items and appropriate coinciding descriptions that double as lore, and new bastard-hard boss encounters, Nightfall is easily the best, most polished and well thought-out Dark Souls story mod I've ever played.
On PC you can always Alt-F4 out of the game, while the consoles should let you just shut them off and pick the game back up later on.

Yes, whenever you level up you get the option to choose where your points go. Then you would just level up the appropriate stats when you're able to. You can start out as any class and still build the character the way you want.
You definitely can finish the dark souls games with keyboard and mouse, but it won't be easy. Kinda like using a screwdriver to hammer a nail into the wall - It's clunky, hard, slow and you might hurt your hands but you'll succeed eventually.

Yes, you can play Dark Souls Remastered on PC with a controller. There are a few different ways to do this. One is to use an Xbox 360 controller emulator, such as Xpadder or Joy2Key.
The Sorcerer or the Pyromancer are good classes for beginners. Both start with ranged magic, which can help in the beginning stages of the game.
A complete breakdown of which is the best class in Dark Souls....1 Pyromancer. There shouldn't be any doubt that Pyromancer is the most significant and most helpful class to start with.2 Warrior. Warrior is hands down, one of the best classes in the game. ... 3 Cleric. ... 4 Bandit. ... 5 Wanderer. ... 6 Sorcerer. ... 7 Hunter. ... 8 Knight. ... More items...•
We would recommend the Hunter as a starting class due to its excellent stats and the fact you start with a bow. The Warrior is also a solid choice though, and brings with it a better melee weapon and armour, though will have to settle for a mid-roll rather than a fast roll when dodging.
This guide is written with the sole intent of being as complete and thorough a walkthrough as possible. Everything you need to know to get through the game, find all the secrets, and pound every boss along the way is in here. What the guide does not include is full appendices and lists for every item and character.
How you choose to design your character makes very little difference, it is simply a template for the kind of character you wish to build. You should focus only on the stats of the initial build, the names of the "classes" are irrelevant.
The most essential modification that you need for Dark Souls is DSfix. It allows you to adjust your resolution, rendering quality and other things such as FPS unlocking/limiting and your user interface.
Automative save back-ups require versions of DSfix that support save file back-ups. DSfix provides (if you enable it) a "Time Machine" of 10 save game backups from the past, spaced 25 minutes apart. It's the only defense against corrupted save games, or hackers who can ruin your save file.
DSIC also fully includes the Dark Souls Mouse Fix, which does not have to be installed separately.
