You need three pieces of information to access Blackboard:
Create a course. On the Administrator Panel, in the Courses section, select Courses. Point to Create Course and select New. You can merge existing sections, allowing instructors to manage multiple sections of the same course through a single master course. To learn more, see How to Merge and Separate Child Courses.

Availability, in the context of a computer system, refers to the ability of a user to access information or resources in a specified location and in the correct format.
The note “private” in your course title means that the course has not yet been made available to your students. To make your course available, follow the How to Make Your Course Available to Students instructions.
If you don't want students to view or join the open course room session, you can turn it off.Open the More menu for the course room.Select Lock course room.
You can control when your course is private—or unavailable—to your students. For example, you may not want students to access your course during the building process. You can also quickly change the availability of your course. In the top management area next to Enter Student Preview, select the Make unavailable icon.
The Course Management menu is located on the lower left menu bar on the Course Home Page. The course management menu provides instructors with tools to create, manage and modify the course. Files, Course Tools, Evaluation, Grade Center, Users and Groups, Customization, Packages and Utilities, and Help are available.
If you log into Blackboard Learn and see that your courses are missing it could mean one of several things. Most commonly, students will have a hold on their account and have been temporarily de-registered from their courses. To troubleshoot, please log into myOswego to see if you have any holds on your account.

"Unavailable" means that an instructor has access to the course, but students will not be able to enter the course. Instructors have to make the course "available" to allow students access to the Blackboard Learn course. There are three options to make your Blackboard Learn course available:
Student access to summer semester courses ends on October 1. Student access to fall semester courses ends on February 1.
All Blackboard courses are automatically hidden from students. If the name of your course is followed by the words “NOT AVAILABLE”, that course exists on Blackboard but is currently hidden from the students.
Check out the Courses page. You can see a list of all of your courses from the place where your name appears. You can view all your courses on the Courses page. The page you see after logging in is controlled by your institution.
These settings control whether or not a user has access to the course. To be added back to the course, the student must submit a readmission request. If the availability settings are changed back to Yes, then the availability of the user will revert back to No the following day.
To add a Blackboard Collaborate Ultimate link to your course menu, click the plus sign at top, left of screen and choose Tool Link from the menu. The Add Tool Link window will open. Here you can set the name, type and availability of the link to be added to your course menu.
Sometimes, students will see their grades in Blackboard but they flash briefly and then disappear. Blackboard may have used an incorrect filter to show grades.
Click on the Syllabus Area in the course menu. Click on the Build Content menu to select Syllabus.
Navigate to the Administrator Panel > Courses. Select Create Course > Restore. For the restored course, type a destination course ID.
You can create your own computer-based course by using authoring software to create instructional modules. Students can then access them using a course management system. Begin each lesson with a statement about the learning objectives.
Courses can be made available by accessing the course, then clicking the lock icon located on the top right of the course.
On an instructor's Courses page, click the More Options three dots next to a course and choose Open Course.
On the course menu, go to the Control Panel and select Customization . Select Properties from the options.
