To begin, throughout this course, I have learned a lot about myself and my writing. I have realized that the more I write, the better I get. You were right when you said that writing comes to you naturally if you do it often. I have noticed that when I write with my heart and soul, I better my writing, as well as myself.
I have learned a great deal in this course in relation to writing argumentative essays. There is much research involved, as well as objectivity to the position taken on a particular subject. These are, what I have learned, to be the two most important factors in the preparation for a paper.
The only problems I encountered when trying to write the essays that were assigned to me by the instructor was finding suitable subject matter to write about. Once I found my topics for my essay, everything else became easier.
In order to successfully complete the assignments that are asked of students, they need to develop the proper strategies that will facilitate a clear communication, and help the person who is marking them to understand that the student knows the material well, and can communicate that information in an effective way.
Traditional assessment practices reflect what students are able to recall from memory through various means, such as, multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, and matching questions. Authentic assessment: assess students’ ability to use what they’ve learning in tasks similar to those in the outside world.
V. CONCLUSION A fair assessment is one in which students are given equitable opportunities to demonstrate what they know and can do. Classroom assessment is not only for grading or ranking purposes. Its goal is to inform instruction by providing teachers with information to help them make good educational decisions.
Rubrics: These are the most flexible types of direct assessments and can be used to score any product or performance such as essays, portfolios, skill performances, oral exams, debates, project/product creation, oral presentations or a student’s body of work over the course of a semester.
Portfolios are systematic, purposeful, and meaningful collections of students’ work in one or more subject areas.
In college, we start to understand that this knowledge is not enough as to write flawlessly, you need to know more than just the structure of the essay and the ways to use resources in your writing. In this article, we are going to discuss essay writing habits that we acquire in school but that have nothing in common with high-quality writing.
I have grown up and matured in more ways than one since my first day. I have learned everything between new study habits, learning to get to school early so you can park without being late to class, and how to conduct myself in a college atmosphere. I learned that taking that extra step is always necessary and sometimes you need to make sacrifices.
Though you may think by now I should be able to think, but I’m not talking about the thinking required to answer a test question, but rather Deresiwicz form of thinking.
Noted author, Stephen Covey offers uses the story of a bamboo plant to offer advice. The story taught me to be more patient with several stuff and try not to rush on the work the teacher assigns.
Throughout the senior project, I accomplished two big research papers, a trifold and brochure to represent my college and career choice, and many other forms of research about my chosen occupation. By completing this project, I have learned that senior project is no joke. This project is huge and requires a lot of time and effort.
With the classes I am taking in college, I will be preparing for my future job. In my job, I will be required to write reports and solve many problems/ cases. In college I will be improving my high school education, which will improve my skills for my future job, this meaning, I will he helping improve my community. Now, to discuss money.
