What to Bring

Closed-toed shoes are required. We recommend comfortable clothing for the current weather conditions. Alaska’s weather can change quickly, so the best advice we can give you is to dress in layers. Feel free to bring a camera along, however, you will be responsible for transport, damage or loss of your own photo or video equipment.

Overview

The Stoney Creek Canopy Adventure Zipline tour begins with a shuttle ride out of Seward to the course's welcome center. The lesson is basic but helpful, with each participant practicing the basics of traversing and braking. After a few practice runs, the group heads up the valley to the start of the course.

The Zipline and Treetop Adventure at Stony Creek Metro Park has many adventurous obstacles. The highest platform is 50 Feet. The longest crossing is 71 Feet. The longest zip-line is a relaxing 609 Feet. The total length of the Zipline and Treetop Adventure at Stony Creek Metro Park is 2970 feet.

Go Ape! Stony Creek Metropark Zipline Prices

Guests will first need to pay entry to the park ($10 for a daily pass). Then, tickets for the Zipline and Treetop Adventure range from $39 (for 10-15 year olds) up to $49 (for 16-17 AND 18+). Anyone 15 and under requires adult supervision (1 adult for up to two children), and supervision can not be done from the ground level.

How to contact canopy tour?

All canopy tours begin at the booked time, so please arrive on time. If you expect to arrive late, please call us at 828.749.2500 and we will determine if we can accommodate you on another tour that day. This will be case-by-case basis, determined by our manager on duty.

What to wear when hiking in the mountains?

Wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. Close-toed footwear that is suitable hiking on variable terrain is required. Avoid wearing loose clothing, such as ponchos, scarves, and excessively baggy clothing. Short shorts are not recommended.

Can you tip a tour guide?

Your guides work hard to make sure you have a memorable tour. If they succeeded, feel free to reward their effort. You can either tip your guides directly, or if you’d prefer to tip by credit card, talk to the staff at the check in desk, they’d be happy to help! Safety Standards.
