The Alimah course is a six year rigorous certification program for women that links them to our beloved Messenger Mohammed sallallahu alyhi wassalam and empowers them to understand, love and live by the Quran and the Sunnah. The course is unique in its engagement with contemporary issues.

Students are introduced to Arabic syntax, morphology and etymology leading them to understand the interpretation and analysis of the Quran and Hadith in accordance to scholars of this Ummah. Quwwatul Islam currently delivers a part time evening Ālimah course in English and Arabic for sisters. The courses are taught by qualified Ulamā and Ālimāt. This part time course is based on a classical curriculum and is designed to help beginners progress from an elementary stage to a very advanced level in Arabic and Islamic Studies.

The Open Day is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to view course material, the facilities available at Quwwatul Islam and to meet Quwwatul Islam staff members and students.

Requirements

Minimum entry age for the course is 14. No detailed knowledge of the Arabic language is necessary. However, students should at least be able to recognise and read the Arabic script of the Qurān, even if it be slowly or without comprehension.

Fees

The course fee per annum is £600 for year 1 and 2, and £650 for year 3 to year 6, which can be paid outright at the beginning of the year or in two instalments. Fees can be paid by cash, bank transfer cheque or card
