Not too surprising as I can't imagine there are more than a few thousand (or even hundred) people actively designing courses in Mario Maker 1 at this point.

Online forums, like the Mario Maker subreddit and GameFAQs, offer opportunities for level exchanges, which some builders may find helpful in this regard. That said, once the initial fervor surrounding the game's release subsides, levels may get played more quickly through the "New Courses" tab, but, until then, this seems to be the best method to pursue.
