WHAT IS A PERMIT? Some courses or sections of a course, have restrictions such as pre-requisites, co-requisites or permission by academic department that are required in order to register. Our registration system will alert you when a permit is required.
Requirements for a Major in Foreign Languages At least 18 hours must be earned in upper-level foreign language courses. Students must complete at least one, preferably two, 300-level courses before enrolling at the 400-level.
Student must use the Course Permit Request Form to request special permission to enroll in a psychology course at the USF Tampa campus. All requests will be processed within 2 business days. You will be contacted if your request for special permission was denied.
A student must receive a "C-" grade or better in all courses within the major (some prerequisites may require higher minimum grades).

Parking permits are required to park on campus 24/7. Most permits are virtual, and all physical permits are the property of the University of South Florida. Individuals parking at USF have an obligation to register their vehicle(s) to their parking permit.

Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "D" permit displayed, permit designations are lifted and meters and Pay-by-Spaces do not have to be paid.
The minimum major GPA required to graduate is a 2.00, though some majors have higher requirements. USF GPA: This is calculated using all attempted, graded USF coursework. When a USF GPA falls below a 2.00, a student is placed on academic probation. A minimum USF GPA of 2.00 is required to graduate.
USF's Grade Forgiveness policy permits Undergraduate and Non-Degree students only to repeat a course and have the repeated grade and hours earned computed in his/her GPA in place of the original grade and hours earned, providing the repeat grade is “D” or higher (exception – see Honors at Graduation).
An “I” grade indicates incomplete coursework and may be awarded to undergraduate students. Undergraduate rules apply to non- degree-seeking students.
