why can't i audit a coursera course anymore

by Dr. Boris Fay 3 min read

You'll only be able to access your Coursera Lab assignments and Jupyter Notebooks if you have a paid Coursera membership. If your subscription ends, you'll be put into audit mode and won't be able to access them. We recommend downloading all of your files locally before your subscription ends.

The Audit option is not available on Specialization, MasterTrack, or Professional Certificate Pages so you need to navigate to the single course page first. Some courses include assessment items (but no certificate) for free.
