On Wednesday, there was a gun threat at Cerritos High School. Authorities determined the school threat was not credible, but it caused a stir due to other violent incidents at the high school. On February 28, there was a shooting outside of the school involving a student, and last week, there was a fight on campus.

Effective Monday, February 7, 2022, the West Contra Costa Unified School District has adopted a group tracing approach to contact tracing for COVID-19 cases at our schools. This approach allows for a quicker and broader response to cases identified in school settings, accomplished through prompt notification, testing, and isolation protocols.
Saturday, January 29, 2022 the district and United Teachers of Richmond (UTR), who represent teachers who work in our district, reached a tentative agreement on additional COVID-19 safety measures. We reached this agreement through a collaborative effort and negotiation process.
The transfer enrollment period begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 1st, and ends on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 4:00 pm.

The Cerritos Complete Promise Program is our student success initiative that focuses on our students’ pledge to earn and complete their degrees or certificates on time. This program provides opportunities for these students to obtain the skills and knowledge needed for college, explore a variety of careers, save money on their college education, and graduate from college on-time. Cerritos Complete is a partnership between Cerritos College and our seven local school districts: ABC, Bellflower, Compton, Downey, Lynwood, Norwalk-La Mirada, and Paramount Unified School Districts
Cerritos Complete provides local high school and adult school students with a scholarship that covers tuition free for two years. Since its inception, the College has seen a 30 percent increase in the number of degrees and certificates awarded.
