Paul Coulombe, who owns Boothbay Harbor Country Club in Boothbay, Maine, has purchased the inn for $3.75 million, and plans to transform it into The Rocktide Oceanside Golf Resort. Extensive renovations will include opening up the dining room to outside seating with fire pits and vertical heaters, and updating the guestrooms and restaurant.
Rocktide Inn & Restaurant to Become Resort Under New Owner. Paul Coulombe, who owns Boothbay Harbor Country Club in Boothbay, Maine, has purchased the inn for $3.75 million, and plans to transform it into The Rocktide Oceanside Golf Resort.
According to Coulombe representative Michelle Amero, the plans for Rocktide, which will be called The Rocktide Oceanside Golf Resort , include extensive renovations, many of them focused on optimizing the views of the harbor and outer harbor.
Rocktide first opened its doors in 1968 as a small lobster restaurant with picnic tables on the wharf over the harbor. The grand reopening is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend and is open to the public, the Register reported.
