If you are, the Sonocaddie V300 Golf GPS will give you the edge you need. The sonocaddie is a electronic golf caddy that uses GPS to give you the best data available. This excellent Golf GPS will calculate your distance to any hazard or green on the Golf course.
Sonocaddie can record locations for each shot right on the screen, and can automatically trace waypoints during the round. The information can be stored to Sonocaddie so you may review the round and each shot at a later date.
Are you curious about your driving distance? Here is a solution for you: by using Sonocaddie's Mark function you will have a quick and precise yardage in your hand. Simply press one button before/after taking the shot, then walk to the landed ball you will see the result. The Mark function, of course, may not only be used for the driver but for every other club as well. It really provides you with an excellent tool to know your distance for every club you use.
What golfers love about Sonocaddie is that they can make changes or corrections to the reference points right on the spot. You may change the given course information, and add or delete some of the reference points as the course may change over time.
I have had a V300 for many years and it has served me well. Last week I tried go and download a new course map and my software could no longer connect to their server. This has happened in the past before but it usually goes back to normal within a day or so, probably just needed a reboot.
I have the same model, but haven’t used it in a year or so.ill give it a try the next time I go out & see if it works.
I have to say that the V300 has served me well for over a decade. I like to be able to get birds' eye view of the hole, and see where the troubles are and how far. and you can edit the map to suit your own need. The accuracy has been excellent, and the unit itself has stood up to element quite well.
You can do all of that GPS satellite views on freecaddie app on your phone with the "pro" version I think it was a one-time $1.99 fee and it loads every course in your vicinity. My only issue with it is it drains your cell battery quickly whilst using the GPS satellite function so I only turn it on when I need it.
