Henry Ford College offers the ACCUPLACER test for math placement. The test is untimed. You may work at your own pace. The test is given on a computer. You may only use the on-screen calculator within ACCUPLACER during the test. All questions are multiple-choice.
Students who need to take the ESL test should use their HawkMail to e-mail [email protected] for more details. Students who need to take the Accuplacer reading test should use their HawkMail to e-mail [email protected] for more details. For students that are not eligible to place by GPA or SAT/ACT scores, we do offer placement testing.
During their junior year, most students take Algebra II, while others may take Geometry or even Pre-Calculus. Whichever math course your junior high schooler takes, a good 11th grade math curriculum should provide comprehensive knowledge of the core math skills needed for higher education.

Most students find that they do not need and, therefore, do not take the two highest courses in grade 12 math (MHF4U and MCV4U). Generally, you'll need this level of math if you are going to study a math-related post-secondary program like engineering, science, computer-science, etc at the university level.
Though Math 55 bore the official title "Honors Advanced Calculus and Linear Algebra," advanced topics in complex analysis, point set topology, group theory, and differential geometry could be covered in depth at the discretion of the instructor, in addition to single and multivariable real analysis as well as abstract ...
