The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program consists of 8 credits of required practicum for 576 hours and an option to take an additional 1-6 credits of field experience to meet the required 1,000 hours. The DNP requires a minimum of 1,000 post-BSN practicum hours, with at least 500 hours at the DNP level.
Meditrek, a product of HSoft Corporation, is a user-friendly online tool that will help you apply for, track, and manage your practicum experience. Meditrek will help you: 1 Collaborate more effectively with faculty and preceptors. 2 Track your time spent at each clinical field site and organize it by course, term, and more. 3 Provide documentation of your experience to potential employers or certifying agencies for certificates and licensure. 4 Provide an easy and trackable system to submit your practicum applications. 5 Access the system 24 hours a day from anywhere with an Internet connection, including your computer, tablet, and smartphone, even after you graduate.
Students must submit one application per practicum course and one application per field site and preceptor. Deadlines are firm.

These calendars provide term-specific information and list the last day to add or drop a course (with refund) and the last day to withdraw with a grade of “W.”.
