The course is built on the edge of the Cedarburg Bog (hence the name). The front nine starts out (a bit annoyingly) with a blind tee shot as you make your way to the bog itself, which comes into play on the right side of holes 3-5.
The Bog is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design golf course founded in 1995. The facility includes a public 18-Hole, par 72, championship layout which is playable from 5,110 – 7,221 yards. All skill and courage levels are accommodated with 5 sets of tees provided.
The Hammes familyThe Bog, one of two golf courses in Wisconsin designed by Arnold Palmer, has been sold and will be managed by Northbrook, Ill. -based KemperSports. The Hammes family, which owns the Hammes Company, a health care consulting firm, bought the course from owner Terry Wakefield.
