The approach shots on this course have merit and the greens are well contoured. You will need to visit Rustic Canyon a few times before you learn the where to be and not to be around the greens. Probably the best attributes the course has is the firmness of the course. Most courses in SoCal are watering way too much and Rustic Canyon plays firm and fast.
