The course is very fun, but its difficulty makes it unappealing for the average weekend golfer (not to mention the prohibitive cost). The Ocean Course can certainly lay claim to one of the toughest stretches of holes as any other big-time course. Starting at the long par four at the ninth hole, players face another strenuous par four at the 10th hole.
The Ocean Course – South Carolina, U.S. The course has been host to many tournaments, including the 1991 Ryder Cup, 20203 World's Cup, the 2001 UBS Cup, the 2005 PGA Professional National Championship, the 2007 Senior PGA and the PGA of last year. This course charges $320 per person, per round of golf.
Walking is allowed at all Kiawah Island Golf Resort courses at all times of the day. The easiest walking course is The Ocean Course, followed by Turtle Point, Oak Point, Osprey Point and then Cougar Point. On The Ocean Course, carts are allowed after 10am in June, July and August.

The course was designed so that players have a view of the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean, but also to expose golfers to the often-strong winds in the area. The Ocean Course has been consistently named as one of the best courses in the world by several publications such as Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as well as being named a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" by Audubon International. Hole 17 in particular is known to test golfers skills, as well as their patience, with a green that is fully vulnerable to the elements and surrounded by water. Prepare to lose a ball, or a few.
Originally, the Osprey Point Golf Course was only accessible to Kiawah Club Members, but has since been opened to the public. In 2014, the entire course was renovated by Tom Fazio, which was the third Kiawah course he had a role in designing. The transformation turned Osprey Point into the championship-level course it’s known as today.
