The 12-digit CRN is printed on the upper-right portion of the UMID card, and is printed in this format: ####-#######-#. The CRN also serves as the ID number of your UMID card.
Colleges use course codes to describe and organize their courses in a way that can be easily understood by both colleges and students (if said students have translation guides, that is). They consist of four important blocks of information.
Procedure for Adding and Dropping Classes Students may add classes through MyPortal/WebAdvisor at www.rcc.edu using the authorization/add code obtained from the instructor. Authorization or add codes are active from the first day of the class until the add deadline.
RCC offers online courses that allow you to take classes on your schedule, from home. Best of all, there are no additional fees to take online courses.
Registration takes place on RCC's myRogue Student Portal. Classes can fill up quickly. To get your first choice for classes speak with your advisor well in advance of your registration day for required advising and approval to register.
Course scheduling preference means veteran students are able to start registering for courses sooner than students with the same class standing. Dates for priority registration and the procedure for veterans scheduling are published each semester on the College’s website.
A student may withdraw from a course or courses without academic penalty up to and including the eleventh (11th) week of a regular term, and up to and including the equivalent of the eleventh (11th) week in a nonstandard term . Students may process an official withdraw online using the student portal, or by speaking with a counselor.
Student Load. A full-time student is one taking 12 or more credit hours. Students expecting to graduate within two years must successfully complete 15 to 17 credit hours each semester or complete summer courses. The required number of credit hours depends on the curriculum in which the student is enrolled.
Students are not permitted to sit in on classes for which they have not registered. Priority Web Registration is available to students based on the total number of credits transferred into and earned at the College. Eligible students are permitted to register via the Web before in-person registration begins.

The College wireless network is available to all staff, faculty, students and authorized visitors with laptops or mobile devices capable of wireless connectivity. When connected to the College wireless network, you can access internet and email. Shared network resources are not accessible.
The Wi-Fi within the College is a non-broadcasting network, which means your device won’t automatically detect it (this limits non-college access). You will need to manually add the College network in order to connect to it.
An in-person class will have specific days highlighted with times listed next to them. The campus will have a specific Main Campus or Regional Center location listed. There will not be an attribute that says Synchronous, Asynchronous, or Hybrid.
A hybrid class combines both classroom and online teaching. These classes meet in the classroom regularly and are supplemented with online lessons throughout the week. Classroom attendance is mandatory for all hybrid courses.
