COS Course Evaluation About the COS Course Evaluation System: Students may use the COS Course Evaluation system to request that a course taken at another institution be reviewed for equivalency with a UCF Course or Major Requirement. To do so, students must complete the form by filling out all appropriate information.
Test scores and course-by-course evaluation with GPA calculation from WES/Josef Silny & Associates, Inc submitted in support of the student’s application must be official. To be official, test scores and evaluations must be requested to be sent to UCF College of Graduate Studies directly from the testing agencies and evaluation companies.

Applicants can request an evaluation from a member organization of one of the two national associations of credential evaluation services: National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) is an association of 19 credential evaluation services with admission standards and an enforced code of good practice.
Individuals seeking a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation. submit a photocopy of that document to the evaluating agency.

A course-by-course evaluation allows us to better understand the U.S. equivalency for courses and grades obtained at colleges and universities outside of the United States. We require that all candidates with a bachelor's degree from an international university submit a full course-by-course evaluation of their degree.

Admission decisions will not be made until official TOEFL/IELTS scores are received. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for the university to receive test scores. Keep this in mind when scheduling your test. Scores must be received by the university before the application deadline.
TOEFL iBT score of 80. IELTS band score of 6.5. Please note, some programs may require higher TOEFL or IELTS scores. You should arrange to take the TOEFL/IELTS exam before submitting your online application for admission. It is important that ALL sections of the test be taken to ensure proper reporting of your scores.
In the case that a student is missing documentation or information, the evaluation process will be placed on hold until the university has received all necessary documentation. All students are advised to submit all required documentation as early as possible so as to not delay the evaluation process.
To be official, transcripts and certificates must bear an original seal and/or signature of the school’s registrar or of the appropriate school official or office. Photocopies are not acceptable.
