Why do students repeat courses at Clark College?

Students may repeat a course taken at Clark College in order to improve their skills or the course grade. All course repeats must comply with the Procedures for Repeating a Course.

What is a pass grade at Clark University?

Students planning to transfer to another college or to a university should determine the transfer institution's policy on pass/no pass grades before choosing this option at Clark. A "pass" grade ("S") is granted only if students pass the subject with a satisfactory grade of "C" or better.

Is enrollment services closed?

The Enrollment Services office is currently closed and the staff is working remotely. There are two ways you may add or drop/withdraw from classes: online or by emailing us your paperwork.

Can you cancel a class at a college?

Classes may be canceled by the college at any time. Students enrolled in canceled classes will be dropped from those classes and will receive a 100% refund of tuition and fees. The refund is generated automatically . Contact the Cashier's office for questions regarding refunds for a cancelled class.

Do you need a class permission code to enroll?

Often, class permission codes are required to allow a student to enroll. When students do not meet prerequisites or if they are registering for a course that requires instructor permission, they will not be allowed to register online without a class permission code.

Is there a bridge to college in 2021?

As of spring 2021 there is no statewide electronic process for students to submit their Bridge to College grades and use the placement agreement; it is up to schools and colleges to help students navigate the local systems for placement into college-level courses and avoid remediation.

Is the bridge to college agreement adjusted?

Given school disruptions due to the ongoing pandemic, the Bridge to College Placement Agreement has been adjusted for the 2020-21 year. See the Placement Agreement section below for details.

Bates Technical College

Tacoma -based Bates Technical College offers an EMT-Basic course that prepares students to work in entry-level positions within the EMS field. The eight-credit hour course is offered by the school's continuing education division of public safety.

Central Washington University

Both an EMT-Basic and a Bachelor of Science, Paramedicine degree are offered by Central Washington University in Ellensburg. There are two parts to the EMT-Basic course, a lecture class and a skills lab, totaling 12 credit hours.

Columbia Basin College

Located in Pasco, Columbia Basin College offers an EMT-Basic short-term certificate program every fall term and every other spring term; the course is worth ten credit hours. The college offers an advanced EMT (AEMT) course on an as-needed basis; there are currently no plans to offer the course in the immediate future.

Seattle Community College - North Campus

Based out of Seattle, this community college offers an EMT-Basic certificate program. The 12-credit hour program consists of one course that may be completed in one quarter. An applicant to the program must be at least 18 years old, possess a driver's license and high school diploma or GED, and be able to pass the required first aid entrance exam.

Spokane Community College

Located in Spokane, this community college offers an EMT-Basic course, an EMT-Paramedic certificate, and an Associate of Applied Science, EMT-Paramedic degree. The basic EMT course is comprised of two parts and includes a lecture class.

Tacoma Community College

In Tacoma, the community college offers two levels of training for individuals interested in working in the EMS industry. The eight-credit hour EMT-Basic certificate requires the completion of one course by the same name.

Walla Walla Community College

A basic EMT certification course is offered in Walla Walla at the local community college. The ten-credit hour course is open to students at least 18 years or older who hold valid driver's licenses and high school diplomas or GEDs. Upon acceptance into the class, students must pass a background check and provide immunization records.
