UF Online Courses UF Online provides an accessible, flexible education for those looking to pursue a fully online degree program. Freshman PaCE students take at least 15 credits of classes via UF Online and may transition to residential learning at the completion of 60 credit hours.
University of Florida-Online is a public, online university. It is a small institution with an enrollment of 2,098 undergraduate students. Admissions is somewhat competitive as the University of Florida-Online acceptance rate is 62%. Popular majors include Business, Nursing, and Public Relations.

Can PaCE, Innovation Academy, and/or online students participate in Panhellenic Recruitment? You must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour and be classified as a degree-seeking student at the University of Florida to participate in Panhellenic Recruitment.
The short answer is no, there will be no mention that you took your degree online. Your diploma will look the same as a traditional student attending the brick and mortar institution. Online is only the format you would be taking your education.

Spring 2021 Courses For Spring 2021, many Quest courses will be offered simultaneously in two different formats. They will have a section that meets face-to-face in the classroom simultaneously with an online section that will participate in the meeting via Zoom.
Spring programs start in January, with an application deadline in September. Summer programs start in May, with an application deadline in February.
“We weren't ready for the pandemic but we made that major transition in a week essentially to bring everything online.” In Fall 2021, UF Online will welcome its largest incoming class with applications leaping by 30% compared to Fall 2019, Evangeline Cummings, assistant provost and director of UF Online, said.
Criteria-Based Admissions – With the exception of just a few limited access majors, UF Online is able to welcome all qualified upper division transfer applicants who meet our set admissions criteria.
Since 2015, Pathway to Campus Enrollment, or PaCE, provides freshmen with the opportunity to start their UF degree online and then transition to campus to complete an undergraduate degree. Our campus has limited physical space to accommodate the many qualified students who desire a UF education.
The University of Florida (UF) admits more students from Santa Fe College (SF) than from any of the other 27 Florida state colleges. In fact, the majority of SF students who apply to UF each semester are admitted, including 88 percent of students in the SF honors program. Why are our students so successful?
UF Online courses are specifically for undergraduate students enrolled in the 24 majors of UF Online or the approximately 60 majors of UF PaCE. UF Online provides an accessible, flexible education for those looking to pursue a fully online degree program.
There are a variety of ways to pursue a UF degree online, ranging from web courses for residential students to fully online bachelor's degrees in 24 majors offered by UF Online. UF’s Distance Learning also offers masters, doctoral and certificate programs online.
Flexible Learning courses are online, open-enrollment credit courses available to anyone. Admission to the University of Florida is not a requirement. Students receive an official UF transcript when they successfully complete their coursework.
Taking care of yourself also means maintaining a social life. While you may not be socializing as much in-person, be creative in the ways in which you can maintain contact with classmates and friends. Online students frequently meet remotely to study or use social media sites like Snapchat, Facebook, or GroupMe to maintain relationships.
Stock up on essentials (prescription medications, food, and over-the-counter medicine) prior to the virus reaching your area. NOTE: If you are unable to stock up on essentials or your living area is communal, it may be in your best interest to return home if you are able.
The UF Online community consists of more than 3,500 students who are in online bachelor’s programs, as well as countless faculty who teach online students. We asked what advice they would give to the students who are transitioning to an online classroom and this is what they shared:
Reliance on the food service industry due to limited access to cooking supplies.
Harvard University. Transitioned their courses to online only and required that all students (who are able) to not return to campus after Spring Recess. For those students who are unable to relocate, they began to limit campus accessibility/resources to prevent the spread of infection. New York University.
Do not chain yourself to your computer. Being an online student does not mean you need to sit in front of your computer for countless hours at a time. Just as your in-person courses have set periods and breaks, incorporate those practices in your online studies.
Students interested in pursuing a Master of Science (MS) or Master of Engineering degree in the ECE department will need to apply for admission to the UF Graduate School. More information about the application process can be found here.
A grade of “B” or better must be earned in each individual course in order to be transferred into an ECE Master’s degree (no exceptions). Students must earn a “B” or better in all non-degree seeking courses in order to register as a non-degree seeking student in future semesters.
The degree requires 30 credits or ten 3-credit courses. The current ECE course offerings are listed below but the MS requirements allows up to three courses outside the department. Additional online courses are available in entrepreneurship, innovation, computer science, and other engineering departments.
With ECE EDGE, your path is up to you. Students can take one to three courses per semester, or take a semester off with no penalty.
ECE-EDGE courses utilizes proctoring services offered by Honorlock and ProctorU. These services offer students a great deal of convenience and flexibility for scheduling exams while assuring a secure exam taking environment. Students may be required to have access to a high resolution camera and/or scanner to upload exam answers. More information about how these proctoring services work can be found here.
In order to be admitted as a non-degree student, you must have a GPA of a 3.0 or higher. Students must receive a letter grade of a B or better in their courses as a non-degree student in order to continue in the program each semester.
