Youth on Course was started a decade ago by the Northern California Golf Association to provide youth ages 6-18 affordable life-changing opportunities through golf. Youth on Course members now have access to golf for $5 or less at over 1,400 participating courses in 50 States and 2 provinces.
Many chapters of The First Tee have a Youth on Course Club through their Allied Golf Association so they can offer their participants a Youth on Course membership. You can ask a staff member at your chapter or feel free to contact us if you need any assistance. How long does my membership last? Please check with your golf association.
You must be at least 6 years old to join. You can stay a part of Youth on Course until your 19th birthday. We ask that young members please play with an adult for safety. Are there any restrictions for playing? Yes. Many courses set time restrictions for when Youth on Course members can play for $5 or less.
In 2019 over 1,000 rounds were played in the program across the province, in 2020 the rounds soared to almost 8,000. All junior members of Alberta Golf will automatically receive a Youth on Course membership number via email during the spring of 2022 for the 4th year of the program in Alberta.
The organization is a 501(c)3, so it's a non-profit organization that works to get more kids golfing.
In addition to Spanish Bay, Youth on Course members can also Pebble Beach Resorts' Del Monte Golf Course and Peter Hay (the par-3 facility across the street from Pebble Beach Golf Links) for just $5.

$60-$120A respectable tip for a single caddie is $60-$120 and $100-$140 for a double bag. The caddies at Pebble are what make the round(s) so memorable and they know the greens like no other and provide knowledge about not only the course, but the entire Monterey Peninsula.
Pebble Beach green fees for a standard round are a whopping $550 per person and will increase to $575 on April 1, 2020. In addition to that initial price, it costs $45 per person to use a cart. If you choose to go the caddie route and walk, which is recommended, the caddie fee will run you another $95 per bag.

It's not a requirement that you need to stay to play, though it's strongly advised. That's because if you're a guest of one of the Pebble Beach Resorts properties (The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay), you can book Pebble Beach times up to 18 months in advance.
Youth on Course Members need to be between the ages of 6 and 18 when signing up for the program. If you are a college student between the ages of 18 and 25, consider joining U on Course.
All WA Golf YOC memberships end on December 31. When you register you can set your membership to be automatically renewed. If not, you need to come back and use your current GHIN number to renew your membership. Do not create a new profile if you already have a GHIN number.

If they are under the age of 12 they will have to play with a paying adult. If they are 12 or older they can play alone or with a friend but must be course ready and know basic golf etiquette.
Once you sign up for a 2021 Golf Canada Membership you can use Youth on Course all season long as many times as you want. You will have to renew your Golf Canada Membership in 2022 for the following season to access Youth on Course again.
If a learner’s permit has been terminated, but you still desire to get another one, then you must proceed to the driver’s licensing office in your locality and request a new license. This may require you to present another set of identification documents in order to obtain an original permit.
A learner’s permit is just temporary and obtains some off-putting restrictions issued to beginning drivers. But after some period has passed or you have reached the legal age, you can now apply and get hold of a driver’s license.
Hence, if your are under 19, it is mandatory for you to provide proof of completion which shows accomplishment of an approved driver education course and you must hold such learner’s permit for at least nine months before you can obtain a driver’s license.
Club membership is available to junior golfers aged 5-18 who reside in Southern California. Memberships will automatically expire on your 19th birthday.
Youth on Course rates are not available for any formal golf practices including other junior programs, school golf teams, or tournament play.
