Beginning June 16th, the Extraordinary Circumstances Quarter Late Grading Option Change form will accept requests for Spring 2021 courses. Students may use this to change their grading option from S/NS to numeric or numeric to S/NS until their degree is posted. A $20 late registration change fee will be charged for these changes.

A grade of W indicates that the student withdrew from a class with no effect to the student's GPA. A student wishing to withdraw from a class for a grade of W may do so by completing an add/drop form and securing the signature of his or her advisor and course instructor before the appropriate deadline.
Each quarter, you may add and drop classes with no restrictions until the end of the second week of the quarter (the Unrestricted Drop period). Between weeks 3 and the last day of instruction you have two options for dropping classes: 1) You may drop one course per quarter using your self-serve Quarterly Drop via MyUW.

Do I need a certain grade point average to get or to keep the Excelsior Scholarship? Award recipients need to earn a minimum of a 2.0 GPA to maintain their Excelsior Scholarship award provided they earn 30 credits over the course of a year.
Pass/No Pass (P/NP) in most cases, is a way of taking a class without worrying about your grade. As long as you satisfactorily complete the course (at the “C” or better level), you will receive a “Pass (P)” on your DVC transcript.

There will be no mark on your transcript, so colleges won't ever see or know that you dropped the class. If you drop a class early on in the semester, try to add another class in its place so you still have a full schedule and can be sure of meeting the number of credits required for graduation.Jan 17, 2022

Even though the UW registration policies might allow you to drop a class, or an academic adviser or professor might recommend you drop a class, you must also consider the F-1/J-1 rules, which are separate. Such a drop might be a violation of your F-1/J-1 status.
Currently enrolled undergraduate students or undergraduate students who are quarter-off eligible, should register according to the Course Add Periods listed below.
Graduating seniors or post-baccalaureate students with a degree application on file in the Graduation and Academic Records Office may register on the first day of Registration Period I for the final two quarters. Students who must postpone their graduation may save their priority quarters by not registering before their regular senior priority day.

I was messing around on the student center this morning and somehow found my fall schedule. One of the classes is still TBA but the rest show the times, professors, and room numbers.
Hey guys, me and my sister who are both attending Cal Poly are in town for a few days to check things out. What are some things to see/do in town that students commonly do? Trying to get a feel for normal student life as much as possible.
My parents want to see it for themselves I was thinking about just visiting the school and showing them around? I’m assuming there’s no college tours in august cause of Covid
I’m having trouble finding housing off campus and on campus housing looks like it might not be an option. Has anyone also felt so hopeless about finding housing? The Facebook page is helpful but there’s so many people I’m competing with.
