Is the closing stretch of the golf course as good as the first 13 holes?

The only negative would be that the closing stretch isn't quite as good as the first 13 holes and the par 3's all play from similar length of 200 yards from the 6500 yard tees, other than 7. Overall, definitely worth the drive to play if you're anywhere near the area. June 28, 2021. 7 / 10.

When is Birdwood Golf Course redesigning?

Fri 17 May, 2019. Construction work is progressing on Love Golf Design’s redesign of the Birdwood course at the Boar’s Head Resort near Charlottesville, Virginia. Seeding is now under way on the course, which is home to the University of Virginia’s golf teams.

Where is Love Golf Design located?

Love Golf Design was first approached about the project during their work at Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The Goodwin family – owners of Sea Pines – informed the design firm that a possible renovation of the Birdwood course was on the horizon.
