REQUIREMENTS

As per Connecticut guidelines, Connecticut Podiatric Medical Assistants are required to attend a class on radiation safety as well as office-based X-ray technique, and then pass a written test. This course is offered twice a year and is open to all assistants in podiatric offices. Some training and experience in the office setting is very helpful.
