Pine Valley, New Jersey Forget about the oft-lamented argument that Pine Valley Golf Club can't host a major because it's basically 18 holes stuffed into a sardine can with little room for the flow of spectators. Golfers of all skill levels will find enjoyment and challenge on our well-designed 18-hole course. The Bermuda fairways and new Champion Bermuda grass greens play to 6490 yards from the blue tees and 5872 from the white tees. Members and their guests are allowed to walk the course at any time and carts are available.
King City Golf Course is a short 9-hole public course just off of Highway 99W southwest of Portland (and a driver from Summerfield Golf and Country Club). King City Golf Course is a nice, parklike green space just off a busy highway. Houses do line the course and the course is short (the par 4s are short and the one par 5 is very short), but the par 3s are long and mature trees narrow several holes. Conditions are good given the price. It’s basically flat, so an easy walk. Forward tees do make it easier in both distance and angle.
The course is pretty much in front of you, except the trap behind the 3rd green that you can’t see until you are close. The 8th hole, a short straight par 4, feels open because of the road on the left. In the summer of 2017, there were no markers indicating the road was out of bounds, but we were informed that it was.
