Due to concerns with rising cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and in consultation with KFL&A Public Health, Queen's University will be transitioning most Winter 2022 academic activities delivered in Ontario to remote delivery until the end of reading week on Feb. 28, 2022.
Option Courses: These are required courses in the Plan, but there is significant choice allowed in the course(s) that may be taken. Again, each requirement line is reproduced within the Academic Advisement Tool.
Our reputation for leading-edge physics, cancer research, geoengineering, data analytics, surveillance studies, social science and mental health research is well documented, highlighted by the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.
If you are an undergraduate student who has applied to graduate and intends to enroll in a course in a future term, you must contact the Arts and Science faculty office and fill out a Return to Studies Form to be admitted into a post-degree program. You may then enrol in a course under the post-degree program in SOLUS.
A student may take course(s) through another institution in addition to their courses at Queen's University; for example, some students choose to take courses through another institution by correspondence/distance studies while taking on-campus courses at Queen's.
I. Overview and Definition of Options A named option is a formally documented sub-major within an academic major program. Named options serve as a convenient way to distinguish a distinct curriculum or delivery format within a major. A named option is NOT a new degree or major.

If you repeat a course, only the highest grade earned will be used when calculating the cumulative GPA. Repeating a failed course: If you repeat and pass a course that you previously failed, your GPA will increase, likely to a significant extent.
Once you have completed 18.0 units, maintaining a minimum 1.6 cumulative GPA, our office will give you the option to select one of our degree or certificate programs. If you have achieved a 2.9 GPA after these 18.0 units, you may take up to a full time course load of 15.0 units per term (5 classes).
A full time student normally takes five courses (30.0 units) per year.
ok I was going over the summer residence thread - why tf is everyone complaining about Wally?? Y'all ever heard of East Coast Overdose? The LEGENDARY Isengard trials? Beautiful views of the water, huge common rooms, weird 70s aesthetic, ghosts of nurses past haunting the hallways, bathtubs to store your hockey equipment in, I could go on and on...
if my class ends at 11:30 and the next starts at 11:30, will i have time to make it? im a third year transfer so idk how queens courses work
Do I need to buy a membership for the summer to use when the ARC reopens this week? I’m a full time student and still attending Queen’s. I paid all my fees last year. Do I need to buy a membership still?
I never expected that I would not be able to finish all the questions in the exam. I achieved very good grades on both my assignments and in the midterm. The final exam questions are not very difficult, but students in Ling Yang's section only have 90 minutes to answer 9 questions.
I'm a first year going into commerce and am curious about places in kingston that are accommodating to uni students (in your opinion). Are any of the restaurants decent for a waitressing job (I'll be getting my smart serve within like 2 weeks of the start of school).
I know this is a silly question but I'm in 2nd year and I've never been to Campus so I don't know what people wear to lectures. Is it super casual like sweatpants? business Casual? Are dresses, shorts, shoulders or crop tops frowned upon? What is the "dress code" most students abide by?
I know you don’t ask to go to the bathroom in a lecture.. but do you ask in a tutorial?😭
