CU Boulder's official final examination policy enforces a uniform final examination schedule to facilitate fairness and help maximize the educational experience for students. Most Summer Session classes schedule final examinations on the last day of class; however, some classes have examinations at a different time.

Grades of D+, D and D- are considered passing grades of P. Grades of C- and above are considered passing grades of P+. Classes that are graded on a pass/fail-only basis are not eligible to be taken for letter grades, and do not include the P+ grade.

Fall Welcome begins Tuesday, Aug. 20, and ends Friday , Aug. 30. Fall Welcome creates a centralized, campuswide welcome experience for all incoming students and families. Programs occurring through Fall Welcome will be designed to provide resources and campus information, establish affinity and a sense of belonging within the campus community, and offer insight and support strategies for a safe and healthy college experience.
Move-in will begin on Monday, Aug. 19, for international students. It will go through Thursday, Aug. 22. Students’ move-in dates will correspond with their residence hall; this allows students to start building community and make connections right away, as they meet their roommate (s), floormates and resident advisors.

Final exams for completely online (asynchronous) classes should be offered over a time window of at least 48 hours (inclusive of start and completion times), and must be administered during the official final exam period established in the academic calendar (Dec. 11–15, 2021).
If you have three or more final exams scheduled on the same day, you're entitled to arrange an alternate exam time for the last exam of the day. If you have two final exams scheduled to meet at the same time, you're entitled to arrange an alternate exam time that day or week for the later class.

If grade replacement is right for you, you’ll need to register for the class and then submit a grade replacement request form by the posted deadline for that semester or session.
