the City of DenverThe course, designed by well-known golf course architect, Donald Ross, honored in the Golf Hall of Fame, has been selected by Golf Magazine as one of the outstanding public golf courses in the United States. Since it is owned by the City of Denver, the green fees to play the course are very reasonably priced.
In 1929, Denver built a nine-hole course called Berkeley Park Golf Course. Five years later, it purchased an adjacent course and combined the two to create Willis Case Golf Course. The name was an homage to Willis Case Jr., a wealthy stockbroker who'd been killed by his girlfriend in a murder-suicide.
Seasons. November 1st - March 31st. During peak season, the golf shop will be open from daylight until dark, weather permitting. During off peak season, the golf shop will be open 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. weather permitting.
Perched near Inspiration Point with panoramic views of the mountains, Willis Case opened in 1936.
The course was originally built in 1926 by Donald Ross and remains today as one of the most picturesque golf courses in Denver.
Purchased by the Creighton family in 2013, one of their goals was to take the course to a higher level by upgrading course conditions and constantly making improvements.

Though you may think of snow when you think of Denver, many of the winter days are moderate enough that you can golf year-round. Most of the courses have amenities like clubhouses, lighted driving ranges and restaurants. You can book a tee time online for all the courses or by calling 303-784-4000.
March is hands down the snowiest month in all of Colorado, Denver included. It's also the month when the spring breakers appear. Expect crowds at the airport, on the slopes and in all the best breweries and bars. But you can feel spring in the air and the sunny days just make all that snow sparkle and glow.
DENVER NORMALLY COLLECTS 10.7 INCHES OF SNOW IN MARCH BASED ON AVERAGES FROM OLD STAPLETON INTL AIRPORT (1981-2010 AVERAGES), HOWEVER MARCH IS KNOWN FOR THE BIGGEST SNOWFALL EVENTS TO HIT THE REGION. IN RECENT HISTORY FOR EXAMPLE, MARCH 1992 AND 2003 COME TO MIND FOR MOST.
In fact, March is the snowiest month in Denver. Denver averages 11.3 inches of snowfall in March, which is more than any other month.
