General Course Description

The Meadows Golf Course is an 18-hole public course that is part of the Sunriver Resort. Part in the meadow and part in trees, the Meadows Golf Course is an attractive course with great views of the Cascades that is getting better each year.

Course History

Originally opened in 1969, it was extensively remodeled in 1999 by John Fought. The greens were redone in 2015 and the traps were overhauled in 2017.

I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Played

In the summer, the greens are pretty hard, so unless you have really good spin, short and run may be the best approach. There are some optical illusions on the course.

Did You Know

They hold a series of women’s clinics in the summer for all ages. They hold 1-day junior clinics three times a week over most of the summer. The resort was awarded Golf Digest’s 2009 Green Star Award for it’s efforts in preserving the natural environment.

Sunriver Area Courses

Featuring Oregon’s finest golf courses, Sunriver Resort is a golfer’s paradise and an ideal choice for a golf vacation near Bend. Acclaimed architects designed Sunriver Resort’s four golf courses. Bob Cupp designed Caldera Links and Crosswater; John Fought created Meadows and Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Private Courses

Created by the same team that designed Crosswater, Caldera Links offers an approachable, fun family-friendly 9-hole golf experience. Featuring tour quality bent grass greens and bluegrass tees that are maintained daily, holes range from 60 to 185 yards in length, making it an ideal course to hone your skills or introduce children to the game.

Public Courses

Recognized as perhaps Sunriver’s most challenging course, Woodlands is also known for its dramatic scenery. Tree-lined corridors and sloping greens are punctuated by forests of Ponderosa and Lodgepole pines, outcroppings of lava rock, views of Mt. Bachelor and abundant natural water features.
