This course includes 204 hours of classroom instruction, 24 hours required ambulance ride along and 8 hours of Emergency Room (ER) Observation. Perform a primary and secondary survey to identify injuries or illnesses to the standard of an Emergency Medical Technician.
The EMT-B program is accredited by the San Diego County Emergency Medical Services. Upon successful completion of the course and examination, students qualify to take the National Registry exam and skills test to be certified as an EMT-Basic.
