As part of Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening process, which began in July 2020 following the property’s pandemic-related closure, Be Our Guest is currently serving a limited prix fixe menu. The catch? It still costs $62 per person for adults!
For quicker service at Be Our Guest Restaurant, you can pre-order in the My Disney Experience app 30 days to even 5 minutes before your reservation. Dinner is now a Prix Fixe menu where you pay one price for anything on the 3-course menu
All meals come with a selection of pastries and fresh fruit. For the kiddos who may not be as adventurous, they have scrambled eggs, crepes, french toast, cereal, and oatmeal. For quicker service, you can pre-order in the My Disney Experience app 30 days to even 5 minutes before your reservation.
Most of the food that is offered at Be Our Guest Restaurant is French-inspired. For breakfast, they have Croque Madame which is an Open-faced Ham Sandwich topped with a Fried Egg, Gruyere Cheese, and Béchamel and one of my favorites!
The prix fixe meal costs two table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan. Adults choose an appetizer, an entree and receive the dessert trio platter.
Prix fixe dining is a “pre fix” menu of multiple courses at a set price. Typically, a dining guest may choose one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert. Walt Disney World offers numerous dining options to select from: counter service, table service, buffets, family-style, specialty dining packages and prix fixe.
The Dessert Trio is an Almond Macaron with Lemon Jam and Raspberries, White Chocolate “Chip” Cup (served in an edible “Chip”, the cute boy-tea cup from Beauty and the Beast), and Dark Chocolate Truffle.
Eats. The new prix fixe dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant offers guests their choice of appetizer and entree, while dessert is the same for everyone at the table…
A prix fixe (a French term meaning “fixed price”) is a menu that offers a full meal at a set rate. Typically, that means diners get three courses consisting of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Diners choose from multiple options for each of the three courses, but the price remains the same no matter the selection.
Breakfast at Be Our Guest typically runs from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Each adult meal costs $28 and includes a drink, choice of entree, and selection of pastries to be shared among guests. Each child meal costs $15 and includes a drink, choice of entree, and pastries.
What is the Grey Stuff at Be Our Guest? The grey stuff is a mixture of chocolate and vanilla pudding, cool, whip, and oreos! So many delicious ingredients packed into one dessert!
A server cleans the table after use, so I will sometimes tip as we are somewhat messy eaters, but gratuity is optional and based on the Guest's discretion.
For example, if you go to Be Our Guest for lunch, the prices are prix fixe. You will pay $62.00 per adult and $37.00 per child. You can't split this meal. But, if you see a menu with individual prices for each food item, then you can split those entrees/snacks/desserts/meals.
Since Be Our Guest Restaurant is located inside the Magic Kingdom, the dress code is theme park casual and whatever you wear into the park that day is fine.
No doubt it's a magical place to dine, but is it worth two dining credits? Frankly, that depends on how important a sit-down meal and meeting the Beast is to you. Be Our Guest only requires two credits for its prix fixe dinner, not for its quick service breakfast or lunch.
We tried the grey stuff and it is delicious, even for breakfast! In Disney World, the grey stuff can be inside the Beast's castle in the Be Our Guest restaurant.
Walt Disney World’s newest dining experiences are increasing this type of choice. Prix fixe dining is a “pre fix” menu of multiple courses at a set price. Typically, a dining guest may choose one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert.
It allows them to know exactly what the revenue will be per day because of the set pricing, it allows the servers to know their gratuities, restaurants are able to have their ingredient list prepped and ordered, and with short staffing, the servers are more efficiently trained and function better with the limited menus.
To compare types of prix fixe dining, buffets do have set pricing but also offer unlimited amounts of food and choices. Specialty Disney dining packages have set prices and menus and patrons are also treated to unique experiences such as fireworks seating or a character experience. Prix fixe dining at Walt Disney World is limiting. Portions are controlled, for example. There are also other limitations. There are generally (with allergy exceptions) prohibiting policies on substitutions, ordering from the kid’s menu if you are an adult and ordering one meal for two people to share.
While prix fixe dining is not new to Walt Disney World, Be Our Guest Restaurant has had one for a few years, and special days of the year (Mother’s Day, for example) often offer these one-day experiences, there is an increase since 2020 as the standard. It is no longer exclusive for special experiences or for extenuating circumstances such as the pandemic, it has become another option among the many we have to choose from at Disney parks.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is an expansive and elegant dining destination located at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland. Whether you are enjoying lunch or dinner, you will experience an atmosphere made for memories.

The highlights of the meal, however, were the dessert trio [below] starring a white chocolate Chip cup filled with the “grey stuff” (it’s delicious!), and special appearances by Beast himself.
Overall, the limited menu at Be Our Guest is still high quality and the experience of dining in Beast’s Castle is unparalleled. Guests are also allowed to wander through the other rooms of the castle when they are finished dining to take photos and soak-up the atmosphere.
They changed the menu items for Be Our Guest restaurant in September of 2018. This almost instantly made Be Our Guest restaurant the #1 value restaurant when looking for a place to use your Disney Dining Plan Credits.
Because after you dine, you can walk around and see the whole restaurant take your time and get pictures and videos. There’s definitely more to see and do in the West Wing but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to sit there and eat for it.
Be Our Guest restaurant cant be a bit pricey depending on what you get.
For breakfast, they have Croque Madame which is an Open-faced Ham Sandwich topped with a Fried Egg, Gruyere Cheese, and Béchamel and one of my favorites! They also offer crepes, quiche and of course the feast a la Gaston with Scrambled Eggs, Herb-Roasted Potatoes, Apple Smoked Bacon, and Sausage. All meals come with a selection of pastries and fresh fruit.
If you are using the dining plan then Breakfast counts as 1 quick service credit, Lunch counts as 1 quick service credit and the new dinner menu counts as 2 table service credits.
From the ballroom to your left is the West Wing, this is clearly the showstopper room of Be Our Guest restaurant. It’s got the most going on, it’s the smallest, it’s usually hot and it’s also kind of dark in there so I personally find it a little bit difficult to actually eat in that room. I honestly kind of recommend dining in one of the other rooms especially if you’ve been in the West Wing before.
Lunch at Be Our Guest restaurant is served from 11 am-2:30 pm – For lunch, I like to eat a bit later, maybe around 1-1:30 pm to take a break while the lines build back up after everyone else has already eaten.
Some of the highlights of dinner include a meet and greet opportunity with the Beast himself. He meets inside the room where you put in your orders during lunch. As well, you have the option of drinking beer or wine at this location, something you can’t normally otherwise do at the Magic Kingdom. So now it is time to relax and pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents our review of Be Our Guest.
If you didn’t know it’s a spread of cured meats and meat products. Your board at Be Our Guest includes Chicken Rillettes, Shaved Serrano Ham, Chorizo Sausage, Pleasant Ridge Cheddar, Truffle Tremor, and Stilton Blue with Seasonal Garnishes.
Right after thunder and the rose petal falls look to a portrait hanging over the fireplace. It will briefly change from the Beast to his human form. Again this falls on the same every 7-minute timeline.
The beast appears every 30 minutes and he made 3 rounds while we were dining at Be Our Guest.
If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device.
Once inside there are three main dining areas at the Beast’s Castle. The Ballroom is the largest of the three and is centrally located. This is the first room you’ll walk through when taken to your table, and the only room that all guests are taken through. The second is off to the left and that is the West Wing, where you will find the enchanted rose. Lastly is the Rose Room, while it doesn’t appear in the film, it feels like it is a part of the castle.
For now, with social distance rules, he won’t stop at your table for photos or autographs. But he does walk around and periodically stops for you to take pictures from a distance. You are asked to remain seated at your table while he is visiting your section of the restaurant. Additionally, there are no autograph cards at Be Our Guest like there are at other character meals.
In basic terms, a prix fixe menu is usually made of a multi-course meal (traditionally an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert) sold at one fixed price. Diners can typically choose between a variety of options in each course when ordering off of a prix-fixe menu.
SHOCKER! Money is involved. If you’ve paid attention to restaurant menus across the parks and resorts, you may have noticed that prix fixe options have become more common around Disney World. This is likely due (at least in part) to the fact that Disney stands to make a TON of money off of them.
According to Mashed.com, Disney isn’t the only one hopping on the prix fixe trend. Apparently prix fixe menus came from French chef Auguste Escoffier, whose vision was to streamline restaurant processes, especially when it comes to food and supplies and communication with customers.

While prix fixe menus are designed to have guests pay more for their meal than they possibly normally would, that doesn’t necessarily mean prix fixe menus aren’t for anyone! There are some benefits associated with dining at a restaurant where you’ll order off of a multi-course menu at a fixed price.
Simply put, prix fixe menus aren’t going to be a good fit for guests that want more bang for their buck and don’t want to stuff themselves silly with food. But there are other instances too where prix fixe menus are less than ideal.
Disney World mentioned earlier this year that they plan on bringing the Dining Plan back, so it doesn’t look like prix fixe menus are completely “replacing” the Disney Dining Plan.
