For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds. You have sat on the throne judging righteously. And judgments for all who are oppressed. Who will contend with Me? Who has a case against Me?
To be declared righteous in God’s sight you must be willing to put all your sin on Christ and take up his righteousness. I know sometimes that is hard to grasp because it sounds too good to be true, but thankfully it is true.

Along with the white raiment worn in heaven, each crown appears to be the outward manifestation reflecting what was on the inside. The Crown of Life is for perseverance through suffering ( Ja 1:12 and Rev 2:10 ); the Crown of Righteousness is for living in expectant hope of the return of Jesus ( 2 Tim 4:8 ); and the Crown of Glory is for the selfless exercise of ones spiritual gift ( 1 Cor 9:17 and 1 Pet 5:2-4 ).
That is, the Book of Revelation appears to correlate invisible (inward / in-working) faith with visible (outward / out-working) faith. In this context we can teach and train our children. We do this with love and kindness, avoiding undue criticism of our children and our spouse.
President Spencer W. Kimball (1895–1985) taught that idols can include credentials, degrees, property, homes, furnishings, and other material objects. He said that when we elevate these otherwise worthy objectives in a way that diminishes our worship of the Lord and weakens our efforts to establish His righteousness and perform the work of salvation among Father in Heaven’s children, we have created idols. 1
The world is literally in commotion ( see D&C 45:26 ). Many of our challenges are in the spiritual realm. They are societal issues we as individuals cannot necessarily resolve.
