AMS is a member of the Charter Athletic Association for basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, and track. 10+ after-school teams/clubs including Science Olympiad and Robotics. Additional extracurricular sports/clubs offered according to parent and student interest.
Safety. Positive behavioral policies to support healthy student behavior and eliminate bullying. AMS school safety plans are approved by local police and fire departments, have secure single point of entry, and camera monitoring in campus areas.

The Scottsdale Math and Science Academy (SMSA) is a specialized program offering students who have an aptitude for math and science the opportunity to excel in a unique learning environment suited to the STEM track. The current program started at Saguaro High School in May 2008.
