I’m having to take PHL245 as a requirement for my Bioethics Major and have been really struggling. I’ve taken the class once to get through about two thirds of it, only to drop the course. Whether or not something can be done would greatly depend on what the school represented to you. It's not clear from your question what happened but you indicate that they "made you take classes." That seems to indicate that you took the classes they wanted you to take.

Sometimes you can't transfer in courses that are in your major, perhaps they were in yours but not the other student's. Sometimes you cannot transfer in classes that are too old. Sometimes you can't transfer more than a certain number of credits. Sometimes you cant transfer courses because it takes a minimum grade to do so.
