What is "Course Request"? Course Request is the one-week period each semester during which you are permitted to request courses for the next term. Please note that you request courses only during this period.
You'll always get a second chance during the Drop/Add period, which begins toward the end of the semester, but if you miss the Course Request period, then you seriously affect your chances of getting the courses you not only want but need.
Click Course Request 4. Add Class Worksheet by entering the Course Reference Number (CRN). 5. Click Submit Changes Students may alter submitted requests as often as desired during the allowed timeframe. If you miss the course request period, you may register for classes during drop/add period.

Navigate to Student Data > Scheduling > Course Requests/Schedule. The Course Requests/Schedule page is used to schedule individual Students into classes for the upcoming Semester or School Year after the Student's requested Courses are entered.
If you select Alternate, the system uses this request if it cannot schedule the student in a requested elective. Required: Required course for this grade level.

The online Course Timetable will give you the basic info about a course: its numbers, its CRN, the teacher's name, and the times and places of meetings. You can also click on the course number link to get a basic catalog description of the course.

Virginia Tech allows students to register for classes during two windows of time, pre-registration and registration. Students must have established a PID (personal identifier) before they can register during either period. The dates for these registration periods are posted on the Registrar's website.
