This course meets the requirements necessary for students to obtain their Florida Concealed Carry License. This is an intermediate level course, that reviews license protocols, use of force laws, firearm safety, and marksmanship. The class concludes with a live-fire exercise where students will demonstrate safe shooting skills.
The instructor is your range officer, as well as the employees that work at the range if you’re at a privately owned range. You’ll be taught many range commands in a concealed carry class. Be sure to listen to all of their commands! They are actively looking for students who listen and follow the rules of firearm safety.
The turnaround time for processing a concealed weapon license application is approximately 50 to 55 days. Our standard policy is to process pending applications in the order in which they arrive in our mail room.

To be clear, Florida Statute 790.06 - “License to carry concealed weapon or firearm” states that an individual has no “duty to inform” a law enforcement officer that they are carrying a concealed weapon or firearm (some states do, however).

Remember, there is no law in Florida requiring you to inform police officers that you have a firearm in your vehicle unless they specifically ask. However, they will ask in most cases. Even if they do not ask, it is wise to inform them.
