The live fire test is the most exciting part of a conceal and carry class, be sure to practice at the range before taking the test in class. Live Fire Test Depending on your state statutes’ requirements, you may or may not have to perform a live fire test, but I highly advise getting some sort of live fire training before carrying a firearm.

The Texas Concealed Handgun License Proficiency Test is not a difficult shooting test to pass. It is a test designed with ample time to take your shots accurately. No need to rush. Accuracy is more important than speed.
The second 8-hour class for an Illinois concealed carry permit (actually called an Illinois License to Carry) includes a lengthy training on all the applicable laws for concealed carry, but also includes a shooting qualification.
