The Writing Requirement consists of two courses at the lower-division level beyond the UC Entry Level Writing requirement and one upper-division course in a discipline. Except where otherwise noted below, students must satisfy the UC Entry Level Writing requirement prior to fulfilling the UCI writing requirement.

NOTE: Students who have not met the requirement before entrance must satisfy the requirement before the beginning of their fourth quarter at UCI.
Undergraduate courses are classified as lower-division (numbered 1–99) and upper-division (numbered 100–199). Courses numbered 200 and above are graduate or professional courses. Lower-division usually refers to freshman-sophomore courses, upper-division to junior-senior courses.
Lower-Division Requirement. The two courses taken to fulfill the lower-division requirement must be completed with a minimum grade of C (or a Pass or Credit grade equivalent to C). Students may select from the courses specified below: WRITING 39B Critical Reading and Rhetoric and WRITING 39C Argument and Research.
WRITING 37. Students analyze and apply rhetorical principles in a range of writing assignments. Letter Grade with P/NP Option. Prerequisite: Students must have taken the UC Analytical Writing Placement Examination.
Writing 39A, Introduction to Writing and Rhetoric, is a placement-only course designed to give college writers the skills they need to succeed as academic writers. It is a portfolio-based course, building skills by taking new writers through the components of analytical thinking and writing, piece by piece.
You need to earn a grade of C or better in each course or a Pass (P) grade if pass is equivalent to a C (2.00). You need to be in good academic standing (GPA 2.00 or above) at the last college/university you attended prior to enrolling at UC.

my mother filled out this docusign called "flu shot religious accommodation request" on the uci website using my email address/name and sent me a certificate of completion for it. i tried navigating to the site that she used and it said that i would have to sign it using a link sent to my email but i didn't get any email about this.
