personnel seeking to obtain Coast Guard ICS position specific competencies shall attend the Coast Guard version of the ICS-300 course (Course code: 501377) . The performance training system enhancements in the Coast Guard version, which are not found in the FEMA version, of the ICS-300 course establish the expected baseline ICS knowledge prior to attendance of advanced ICS position specific courses provided by FORCECOM. CG version is longer (4 days vice 2.5), covers significantly more material and is performance based. This means the student will gain notably better knowledge by attending the CG course. If a student does not desire to obtain ICS position specific competencies, then the FEMA course will meet the basic requirement. The course completion will be automatically be entered in Direct Access but not in TMT.
ICS-210 Initial Incident Command (Course Code 502325): ICS-210 is now a 4-hr online course available through the CG Learning Management System (LMS) which can be found on the CG Portal Training and Education tab. The CG LMS course will automatically enter completion data into TMT. The ICS-210 is designed for Single Resource Leader/Type 5 and Type 4 Incident Commanders. The course specifically focuses on initial incident assessment, initial incident management (includes assuming command, organization, and execution), the development and use of the ICS-201, Transfer of Command, and the ICS-204. Prerequisite is ICS-100 and ICS-200. Requirements for those needing to take the ICS-210 are listed in CPPM Vol 4, COMDTINST M3010.24 chapter 10.
All quotas for ICS Training are requested via Electronic Training Request (ETR) in Direct Access (DA) through their unit Training Officer. ETR is the ONLY means to request a quota. ALL general and position Course schedules can be found in Direct Access (DA) using the course code or course title.
If the ICS course information has already been entered in TMT, the member does not need certificate again to prove training for CG purposes.
Please note, that when you submit your transcript request, request a hard copy transcript, not an electronic one, as the BBS does not accept electronic transcripts.
Tuition and fees are charged upon registration and are due at that time. Financial aid recipients whose aid covers only a portion of the total charges must pay the balance at the time of registration. Any balance that will be covered by aid should not be paid in advance.
You can register for one of the courses online, but the other will require the submission of a hard copy registration form with the instructor’s signature. In lieu of a signature, you may attach an e-mail from the instructor to the registration form. Do not ask the instructor to e-mail the Registrar’s Office.
There is a rush service for hard copy transcripts in which the order is processed within two business days. The bulk rate is not available for rush requests. Rush transcripts are mailed via first class mail, not overnight delivery. Rush service is not available the week before and after a semester begins.
To have a transcript mailed, the student must provide a written signed request to the Registrar’s Office. Transcript request forms are available on our website at the link below: http://www.uaccm.edu/Current_Student/Registrar/Transcript_Request.htm
Due to the volume of transcripts received, this is not an immediate process. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.
Generally your certificate or diploma will ready about six-eight weeks after your last course has been completed. We will post on Social Media when diplomas are ready for pick-up. If not picked up by the date given, the award will be mailed to you. Therefore, it is very important that the Registrar’s Office has your most current address.
Generally the last day to drop a course is three weeks prior to the last class meeting for full semester courses, two weeks for 8W and 10W courses, and one week prior to the last class meeting for 5W or condensed 4W summer terms.
The Withdrawal Form may be found on My Portal under Forms or on the Registrar’s Webpage at the link below:
No transcripts will be issued for students with outstanding holds.
